Binflash version 1.61 released

I’ve just released Binflash version 1.61 which includes the fix for (at least some) AD-7283S drives and also adds support for AD-7250H and AD-7270H drives (AD-7260S and AD-7280S OEM drives)

  1. Do you intend to release firmware for the AD-7283S drive, binflash say it supports it I assumed with the AD7280S as it is linked to it but I get the following error:

Device: Optiarc DVD RW AD7283S 1.01

Binflash – NEC GUI version – (C) by Liggy, Herrie and r-man
    http://binflash.cdfreaks.com

    Identified drive: 166 – 3037
    Detected drive from Firmware: 188

  2. The error message is caused by using an AD-7280S firmware and this one is not compatible with your drive. I have an AD-7283S firmware (version 1.01) at home that I still need to patch and upload to the site. Not sure when this will be done exactly.

  3. Hello Liggy thanks for your amazing work, I’m currently got problems using the last binflash on osx, it doesn’t find any compatible drive on my mac (10.7) but using another software to check the drive info : dvd info X3 it found the right burner:

    Vendor: OPTIARC
    Model: DVD RW AD-5680H
    Firmware: 3AHB
    Status: RPC-2

Here is my log file of binflash :

    sudo ./necflash -scan -v -v
