Crossflashing NEC 3530 to 3540 tested
Crossflashing a 3530 to a 3540 drive has just been tested by someone who doesn’t want to be mentioned.
First the good news – his drive is still alive. And now for the bad news – after crossflashing his drive, it was not able to recognize any disc. So we had to flash back to 3530 firmwares to make it work again.
So for everyone who wants to update his drive – it doesn’t seem to work at the moment
