Released Firmware Version 2.U4 for the ND-3520

I just added 2 small changes to our site to add “.html” to the URL of the disclaimer page for files you can download from here. I hope this will fix the download problems some people had before.

While the unmodified 1.f1 firmware for NEC ND4550A and compatible drive has already been uploaded 2 days ago, now the RPC1 version followed too.

It looks like 1.f1 and 1.07 are quite similar but 1.f1 already offers bitsetting on DVD+R and DVD+RW without modifications.

For those of you who didn’t already notice, the contact form is working now and I also added an upload form to our site. Both scripts were finished quite some time ago already, but the scripts for maintaining them were not.
Do not expect an answer on every message that you send. This form is not intended for solving your personal drive problems – that’s what the NEC forum is used for.

In order to upload files, you have to be a registered CD Freaks member and you must be logged on to either the CD Freaks Frontpage or the CD Freaks Forum. This was done to prevent abuse of the upload form.

With the help of stenxxx I was able to add NEC ND3551A support to Binflash and publish the first NEC 3551 Firmware. As usual unmodified and RPC1 version are available for download.
