During the last few days I silently added the following firmwares – including RPC1 and (where applicable) Riplock patches:

• NEC ND-6500A Firmware 203E and 403E (Dell OEM)
• NEC ND-6650A Firmware 103D and 203D (Dell OEM)
• NEC ND-7170A Firmware 1.02b
• NEC ND-7550A Firmware K072
• NEC ND-7551A Firmware 1-02b and 1-P2b

But I also took the chance to add bitsetting patches to a whole bunch of firmwares. So if there was no bitsetting firmware for your drive before, chances are that there is one now. However I have to admit that I was drinking one or two glasses of wine when I made some of these patches – so be prepared to see some unexpected behaviour.
In case one of the firmwares doesn’t work, please let me know. But please note that NEC/Optiarc drives have severe problems changing the booktype of an already written DVD+RW and please consider that bitsetting is NOT possible on DVD-R or DVD-RW!

Binflash has been updated again. Version 1.36 adds support for Optiarc AD-7170S (SATA) drives.

We just added original, riplock removed and RPC1 firmwares 1.01 and 1.D0 for the Optiarc AD-7540A slimline drive.

Additionally we uploaded the tools to switch the Optiarc *54* slimline drives between Normal ATA (master) and Reverse ATA (slave) mode.

Binflash version 1.35 includes the following changes:

• Fix dumping of 7540 and 7543 firmwares
• Add flashing of 7540 and 7543 master firmwares
• Fixed support for ND-3550A drives with 1.G* firmware
• Mac executable should be a universal binary now (untested)
